Welcome to Saraswathy Kalakendra, a bharatanatyam dance school for all ages and skill levels. With nearly 400 students aged 4 to 60, we embrace diversity and offer classes for beginners to advanced practitioners. Rooted in the goddess of wisdom, Saraswathy, our structured classes cover fundamental steps, dance theory, and history. Our mission extends beyond individual growth, aiming to preserve and promote India's cultural heritage through bharathanatyam.
Techer
Usha Balasundaram was born and grew up in Kerala, South India. Dance and music have always been her passion. She danced from her early childhood. At the age of 19, after finishing her education at the high school, she joined the famous dance institution Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts in Chennai....
Bollywood Dance
We are thrilled to introduce an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of Bollywood dance through classes led by the talented Sweatha Balasundaram. Tailored for individuals aged 8 and above, We offer an immersive experience in the vibrant and expressive realm of Bollywood and Bhangra. Choose from three skill-based groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced, ensuring an inclusive and enjoyable journey for dancers of all levels.
Our branch in Västerås
Saraswathy Kalakendra Institution of Fine Arts is happy to announce the launch of our branch in Västerås. Indian classical and bolywood dance classes commence at Västerås, from 15th August, 2020.

Som barn drömde Usha Balasundaram om att viga sitt liv åt dansen, en dröm som trots motsättningar blev verklighet. I dag bor hon i Stockholm och undervisar 350 elever, bland annat genom kulturskolan.
